Build
Build the operational behaviors needed before you hire or scale
You are growing a function and need an operating system with clear processes, practices and skilled leadership (e.g. sales, customer service support, administration, project management, onboarding).
Enhance
Tighten the daily processes with aligned behavioral practices so operations runs better
You have the operating systems in place, but processes can be strengthened, meetings more efficient, and managers upskilled to know when to lead/coach/train or manage.
Evolve
Identify how, where and why the current culture is holding back operational success and how to evolve
You know something needs to change in your operations but it unclear what to fix first and how to create stability and growth. What you have tried is not meeting your goal.

Choose Build If:
-
A function's processes live in the owner/leader's head
-
You are building a new layer of leadership between you and front line staff
-
You are scaling and need an operating system for the processes and people in a function
-
Prior hiring for a function resulted in new hires who could not do the work to standards or did not stay long
Choose Enhance If:
-
You have functional processes documented, but they're not followed under pressure or consistently
-
Meetings do not produce actions, timelines and closure
-
Managers are nice but avoid holding the line
-
Deals slip due to follow-up gaps, messy handoffs, or weak CRM discipline
Choose Evolve If:
-
You know something needs to change, but you can’t name the problem
-
Leaders are not coaching, they are firefighting
-
You see a problem in one function but the causes may be cross-functional
-
You have churn in staff even though you have SOPs and leadership training

Social Optimus LLC is a consulting and coaching firm focused on helping small businesses improve their operational culture through aligning processes, practices and people through behaviors that drive growth.
Founded by Dana R. Willmer, PhD to share her two decades of knowledge, applied workplace expertise and judgment based on leadership and execution in designing behavior change operational systems in private and public organizations.

Why Focus on Behavior in Business
I define behavior based on what can be observed by humans and objectively measured. A business is just a specific set of behaviors performed in the service of helping others. Each business has it's own set of behaviors to perform it's specific services. Clearly defining the behaviors for optimal business performance in specific, observable and measurable terms makes the process of aligning operational processes, practices, leaders and employees transparent and scalable.
